Own heat treatment center for process development and testing

 

From laboratory test results to large-scale production, this is not a simple multiplication problem, because a suitable test-run equipment is relatively expensive and requires many parameters. In order to accurately obtain various parameters for production, 2019 We established a heat treatment center at the beginning of the year.

Q: Can insulation also be sintered?

A: There are many sintering examples such as oxide ceramics, carbide ceramics and nitride ceramics.

 

Q: What is the material of sintering element?

A: Graphite type (isotropic graphite) is generally used. In addition, C / C composites, superhard alloy and high temperature die steel are also used.

 

Q: Can porous bodies be sintered?

A: Although it depends on the particle size of the powder, the sintered body with a certain opening can be made. In addition, the closed pore structure can also be made by using the powder mixed with foaming agent and heat treatment after sintering.

 

Q: What is the furnace atmosphere in sintering?

A: Sintering is usually carried out in a vacuum atmosphere of about a few PA. Sintering in inert gas (argon or nitrogen) is also possible, but the gas pressure of sintering in inert gas atmosphere is below atmospheric pressure. In addition, in order to protect the sintering type, it is suggested that the sintering temperature should be below 400 ℃.

 

Q: What is the temperature measurement method in sintering?

A: When the sintering temperature is below 1000 ℃, a seamless thermocouple is used to measure the internal temperature of about 5mm from the periphery of the sintering type as the target of sintering temperature. When the sintering temperature exceeds 1000 ℃, infrared radiation thermometer is used to measure the temperature of the peripheral part of the sintering type from the vacuum chamber observation window.
